Instructions
 

  • Boil water in a large pot, add salt, and cook the spaghetti until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a deep pan. Sauté onion, garlic, carrot, and celery until soft.
  • Add the ground beef and cook until browned and no longer pink.
  • Stir in tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes. Deglaze with red wine if using.
  • Add the canned tomatoes, beef stock, oregano, and basil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30–40 minutes.
  • Toss cooked spaghetti with the sauce, garnish with Parmesan and parsley, and serve.
