For the Hummus

  • 400 g Chickpeas canned or cooked
  • 2 tbsp Tahini sesame paste
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 Lemon juiced
  • 1 tsp Cumin ground
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 50 ml Cold water adjust for desired consistency

For the Veggie Sticks

  • 2 Carrots
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 1 Red bell pepper
  • 1 Yellow bell pepper
  • 1 stalk Celery

Instructions
 

Prepare the Hummus

  • Drain and rinse the chickpeas well.
  • Peel the garlic and add it to the chickpeas.
  • Add tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, cumin, and paprika to the chickpeas.
  • Blend everything in the food processor until smooth.
  • Gradually add cold water until the desired creamy consistency is reached.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Prepare the Veggie Sticks

  • Cut the carrots, cucumber, and celery into long strips.
  • Deseed the bell peppers and slice them into wide strips.
  • Arrange the vegetable sticks on a large platter.
  • Spoon the hummus into a bowl, smooth the top, and drizzle with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle with paprika and serve with the veggie sticks.

Tips and Variations

For extra creamy hummus, peel the chickpeas before blending. Serve with warm pita or flatbread for an authentic experience. Add more lemon juice if you prefer a tangier flavor.
