For the Dough

  • 500 g All-purpose flour
  • 200 ml Warm milk
  • 100 g Butter melted
  • 50 g Granulated sugar
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast or 20 g fresh yeast
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 pinch Salt

  • 100 g Brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Ground cinnamon
  • 50 g Butter softened

For the Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 150 g Cream cheese room temperature
  • 50 g Butter softened
  • 150 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Prepare the Dough

  • Mix warm milk with yeast and sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes until bubbly.
  • Combine flour, melted butter, egg, and salt in a bowl. Add the yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
  • Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling

  • Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Roll out the dough into a rectangle (approx. 40x30 cm).
  • Spread the softened butter over the dough and sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Shape and Bake

  • Roll the dough tightly from the longer side to form a log. Cut into 12 equal pieces.
  • Place the rolls on a parchment-lined baking tray, spacing them slightly apart.
  • Let the rolls rise for another 20 minutes while preheating the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Bake the rolls for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Make the Frosting

  • Whip the cream cheese and softened butter until smooth.
  • Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.

Assemble

  • Spread the cream cheese frosting generously over the warm cinnamon rolls.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
